Voting Rights After Incarceration

Nebraskans who have been convicted of a felony can register to vote 2 years after the completion of their sentence, including any supervisory period or parole.

What You Need to Know:

When registering, people with felony convictions DO NOT need to provide proof of completion of sentence, but their signature will be used to verify they have completed the 2 year waiting period.

You DO need a valid state ID to register.

You DO NOT need your state ID when voting in-person on Election Day.
