What is your current position at RISE?

My title for RISE is a Prison Program Coordinator (PPC).

Could you describe your primary responsibilities and what a typical workday involves?

My job entails teaching the RISE curriculum inside of Tecumseh State Correctional Institution and helping coordinate and facilitate continuing education for graduates who have graduated but still reside inside the facilities in Nebraska.

I also help the participants by giving them one-on-one attention in life coaching sessions as the need arises. I teach character development, job readiness, and entrepreneurship.

What inspired you to join RISE, and what keeps you connected to the organization's mission?

My personal vision and mission are to give hope to the hopeless by letting them know their past does not have to define their future. Rise gives me the platform to live out my vision and mission in tangible ways

Outside of your professional life, what personal interests or activities do you pursue that bring you joy?

I enjoy swimming and try to swim at least a half mile three times a week.
