RISE Awarded Impact Grant through FNBO to Support Workforce Development

We are excited to announce that RISE has been awarded an FNBO Impact Grant to support our workforce development programming in Nebraska. RISE programming is designed to increase the average median wage of our participants, expand the number of RISE Business Academy graduates, and support graduates in maintaining successful businesses.

Using a holistic, person-centered approach, RISE helps participants identify needs, access resources, and build long-term stability. This model has led to strong outcomes, including a 90% employment rate for participants over several years and 80% reporting an improved sense of well-being after engaging with RISE.

Specializing and trained in documentary-based work, McKenzie has been an award-winning Midwest photographer and content creator for much of her professional life. She is passionate about bridging unlikely communities and building empathy through storytelling.
