The RISE Reentry Program hosts an immersive simulation at Nebraska State Penitentiary, guiding participants through real-life challenges faced after incarceration. Volunteers represent key community resources while attendees navigate a timed, scenario-based experience using a “life card” that reflects the complexities of reentry.
Volunteers for this opportunity must already be approved through the Nebraska Department of Corrections (NDCS) with RISE.
Current NDCS-approved volunteers must register by May 16, 2026.
