The Suite Life with Kristi Andersen and Jeremy Bowman

“In this inspiring episode of The Suite Life, host Christy Anderson sits down with Jeremy Bowman, founder and CEO of RISE, one of Nebraska’s most impactful reentry organizations. Jeremy shares the powerful mission behind RISE—to break generational cycles of incarceration and support people as they return home with dignity, opportunity, and hope.

Jeremy explains how RISE’s programming spans five Nebraska prisons, offering six months of prerelease education, entrepreneurship training, character development, and holistic reentry support. With nearly 1,000 program graduates and 700 individuals and families served annually, RISE is transforming lives—creating jobs, empowering entrepreneurs, and strengthening communities.

Together, Christy and Jeremy explore the economics of incarceration, Nebraska’s prison overcrowding crisis, the ripple effects on families, and the life-changing power of belonging. Jeremy also shares personal stories from years spent mentoring inside the Douglas County Jail, the deep empathy that shaped his calling, and Rise’s bold next steps—including new housing solutions and a more streamlined “one-stop” reentry pathway.”
