ALL guests must complete the Attendee Release and Waiver of Liability Agreement before attending.
Bring your Drivers License or State ID.

Please abide by the NDCS dress code to avoid any conflict of missing this special event.

Your lobby arrival time: 11:00 AM

Location: Nebraska State Penitentiary
One quick note: the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services has strict arrival procedures. You may enter the facility lobby beginning at 10:50 AM. If you arrive before then, please relax in your vehicle until it's time to head in.
⚠️ Please do not bring any pets. Please do not leave any pets in your vehicles in the parking lot. The facility will require you to leave.
Check In
Please check in with RISE Volunteer Manager, Caroline Nosbisch! She will gather your name/s, get you situated with a locker for your things, and have you sign the NDCS Media Release Form.
🤞 DON’T FORGET
Only individuals on the pre-approved RISE guest list cleared by the Nebraska Department of Corrections (NDCS) and the Nebraska State Penitentiary. Anyone not on the list will not be permitted entry. You are reading this because you are on the list.
DO NOT FORGET YOUR Driver’s License or State-issued ID! If you do not have it, you will not be allowed into the facility and we'll be so sad.
You will need to abide by the Nebraska Department of Corrections’ dress code. We’ve simplified it for you at the bottom of this page.
˙📷 PHOTOGRAPHY
Photos will be taken at this event by our RISE event photographer, McKenzie! It will take about 1-2 months for the photos to be ready (she’s a busy gal!). A link will be sent to you via a text message where you will be able to access and download the photos at your leisure. When you arrive to the facility, you will be required to sign an NDCS media release form.
Unfortunately, per the facility, McKenzie is only allowed to take photos with your loved one.

Nebraska Department of Corrections Dress Code Rules:
Pants:
• NO Leggings or spandex/stretch pants.
• NO jumpsuits/jumpers/one-piece style outfits.
• Pants CANNOT have holes, tears, or frayed hems on them, even if that's what's in style.
• Please be cautious to wear skinny jeans or pants - skew more towards loose-legged pants.
• Pants must have back pockets.
• NO shorts.
• NO skirts unless you have specific religious approval through NDCS.
• NO hats unless you have specific religious approval through NDCS.
• NO watches.
Shirts:
• NO hoodies or hoods on jackets/sweaters.
• NO tank tops.
• NO V-Neck tops.
• NO....halter tops, tube tops, sleeveless dresses or shirts, spaghetti/string tied tops, backless tops, muscle shirts, tank tops, half shirts, crop tops, or other clothing revealing bare shoulders, a bare midriff or any part of the breast, chest or back.
• NO see-through clothing.
• NO underwire bras.
• You must wear undergarments.
• You CANNOT combine both khaki-colored pants and a shirt at the same time. A visitor may wear khaki pants or khaki shirt, but never at the same time.
• NO offensive logos or phrasing on any piece of clothing.
Shoes:
• Go for comfort! You will be on your feet and moving around all day.
• NO high heels.
• NO sandals or open-toed shoes.
