Sarah couples her previous nonprofit experience in the askas (Nebraska and Alaska) with her passion for second chances in her role as Chief of Staff at RISE. Her academic foundation in Women and Gender Studies, combined with extensive work in housing advocacy, shapes her approach to creating lasting social change. Sarah finds daily inspiration in witnessing RISE community members overcome barriers and transform their lives. As the conduit between RISE's team and board, she orchestrates strategic alignment while championing initiatives that empower staff to deepen their impact. Sarah's guiding principle is that authentic, sustainable change comes from creating meaningful opportunities for individuals to shape their own paths forward.

McKenzie Ring

McKenzie Ring has over 20 years of experience helping businesses and organizations reach maximum audiences for growth. Specializing in social responsibility, digital marketing, photography, and content creation, McKenzie uses that experience to educate the public and grow a network of volunteers, donors, employers, and support for people returning to the community after incarceration.

Specializing and trained in documentary-based work, McKenzie has been an award-winning Midwest photographer and content creator for much of her professional life. She is passionate about bridging unlikely communities and building empathy through storytelling.
